Physical Books
VERDINK books may be produced using print-on-demand fulfilment. This means that a copy may be printed specifically after an order is placed rather than taken from pre-printed warehouse stock.
Our use of print-on-demand fulfilment does not limit any statutory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.
Shipping
Available delivery methods and shipping charges are displayed during checkout based on the products ordered and the delivery destination.
Physical orders may require production before they are dispatched. Delivery estimates shown during checkout or in an order confirmation are estimates unless a specific delivery date is expressly agreed.
Where tracking is available for the selected delivery service, tracking information will be provided after dispatch.
If an order has not arrived within the expected period, contact info@verdink.com with your order number.
International Orders, Taxes and Customs
Orders may be fulfilled from different production locations depending on the delivery destination and available fulfilment services.
Applicable taxes may be collected during checkout where required and supported.
For some international shipments, customs duties, import VAT, handling charges, or other local charges may be imposed by the destination country. Where such amounts have not been collected at checkout, they may be payable by the recipient before or at delivery.
Any mandatory consumer rights relating to delivery remain unaffected.
Pre-orders
A pre-order is an order for a product before its publication or general availability date.
The expected release or dispatch date will be displayed where available. If that date changes materially, we will provide updated information.
If you wish to cancel an eligible pre-order before it has entered production or fulfilment, contact info@verdink.com as soon as possible. Once production or fulfilment has begun, cancellation may no longer be operationally possible, although any statutory withdrawal rights that apply after delivery remain unaffected.
Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
If you notice an error after placing an order, contact us immediately. We will try to correct the address before production or dispatch, but changes cannot be guaranteed once fulfilment has begun.
14-Day Right of Withdrawal for Physical Goods
Consumers who are entitled to the statutory EU right of withdrawal may notify us that they wish to withdraw from an eligible online purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
After notifying us of the withdrawal, the goods must normally be returned within a further 14 days.
To exercise this right, contact info@verdink.com or use the model withdrawal form below.
Unless the goods are faulty, incorrect, or we expressly agree otherwise, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
Returned goods may be inspected in the same manner reasonably permitted in a physical shop. We may make a deduction from the refund where handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the goods has reduced their value.
Returns:
Before returning any physical product, please contact info@verdink.com for return instructions and the appropriate return address.
Do not return products directly to a printing or fulfilment provider unless VERDINK specifically instructs you to do so.
Refunds Following Withdrawal
Where a valid statutory withdrawal is exercised, we will refund the amounts required by applicable law, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option originally offered where required.
Additional costs resulting from a customer's choice of a more expensive delivery method are not refundable where the law does not require them to be refunded.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.
Where permitted by law, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back.
Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Books
If a physical book arrives damaged, contains a manufacturing defect, or is not the product ordered, contact info@verdink.com and include the order number, a description of the problem, and, where useful, photographs of the book and packaging.
We will assess the issue and provide the remedy required under applicable law, which may include replacement, repair where appropriate, a price reduction, or refund.
This policy does not limit statutory rights concerning faulty or non-conforming goods.
Digital Products
Different withdrawal rules may apply to downloadable digital editions.
Where you expressly consent to immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge before downloading that you will lose your statutory right of withdrawal once performance begins, the withdrawal right may end when the download or access starts.
This does not affect your statutory rights if digital content is defective or does not conform to the contract.
